I have noted before that Allen is a poor exegete and a poor historian. But, I may be wrong, he may just be a poor readed. That was quite revealing both of Edwards and of Allen. Dr. Allen seems to be cut from the same cloth that most manipulating pastors are, that being "find a verse or statement that supports my point, no matter what the context is." Dr. Lemke seems to do this extensively, too. It's sad that they are charged with training some of the pastors of tomorrow if those are the methods they teach. If that method is acceptable to them, I would offer the following prooftext of them. Jeremiah 10:14a says, "All men are stupid, devoid of knowledge."
